Suisun City cybersecurity incident forces City Hall closure through the week

SUISUN CITY, Calif. —
Suisun City will keep City Hall closed through this week as the city works through a cybersecurity incident that has disrupted many operations
The city said malicious software attacked the city’s IT systems on Friday, Aug. 7, around 5:45 a.m., compromising 911 routing, police and fire dispatch, city records, online services and other internal systems

The city said it shut down its IT network and activated an emergency operations center
Officials said police and firefighters have continued to respond to calls for services
- Suisun City dispatchers are taking 911 calls and non-emergency calls from the Solano County dispatch center.
- The police department lobby is open for ticket sign-offs, vehicle releases and general assistances on Monday through Thursday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The city is working with the FBI, Homeland Security, and state emergency officials to investigate and restore its systems
