All-Pro San Francisco 49ers edge rusher Nick Bosa is dealing with tendinitis in his surgically repaired right knee and remains out of practice at 49ers training camp
Head coach Kyle Shanahan discussed Bosa’s condition with reporters on Tuesday and downplayed concern that the condition could linger. He described the tendinitis as “normal” for Bosa coming off surgery to repair an ACL tear and described him as “week-to-week.”
“Just soreness, tendinitis,” Shanahan said. “It’s a pretty normal thing with ACLs. Just talking to our guys, they say it happens to about 90% of the guys we’ve had. It’s a normal thing, so we’ve got to be smart here, week-to-week. No concerns about him, it being any more than that. “
Bosa tore his ACL in Week 3 last season against the Arizona Cardinals and missed the rest of the season
Mike Evans, meanwhile, returned to practice after missing multiple sessions with a quad strain. Christian McCaffrey missed a second straight practice with that the team is calling “tightness.”
