Prime Video broke the seal with the first season of Every Year After, based on Fortune’s Every Summer After. That adaptation premiered on the streamer in June 2026. Including Every Summer After, four of Fortune’s books are in development for adaptation into television series or films

‘This Summer Will Be Different’ – Netflix
Fortune’s This Summer Will Be Different is becoming a TV show at Netflix. Sophie Nélisse (Heated Rivalry, Yellowjackets, The Book Thief) was first cast as Lucy Ashby, main character of the romance. Roby Attal will portray Felix ‘Wolf’ Clark, brother to Lucy’s best friend Bridget (Francesca Reale). The problem is, Lucy and Felix feel sparks upon immediately meeting, but that is before Lucy realizes who Felix is. Bridget has a few rules for her best friend whenever they visit Prince Edward Island, and one of them involves not <a href="https://todaytrendnews7.com/why-cogent-ccoi-stock-is-falling-today/” title=”Why Cogent (CCOI) Stock Is Falling Today”>falling in love with Bridget’s brother. Production has begun on the show.
‘One Golden Summer’ – Prime Video
One Golden Summer is a sequel of sorts to Every Summer After, and it follows Charlie’s love story with Alice Everly. At its Inaugural Obsessed Fest, Prime Video revealed that Every Year After had been renewed for a Season 2, which will be based on One Golden Summer, after the book was under option at the streamer
Alice has yet to be cast, as do her grandmother and possibly older sister and niece. Amy B. Harris will shepherd this story onto the small screen just like she did with Every Year After

‘Every Summer After’ – Prime Video
Every Summer After made way for the first season of Every Year After on Prime Video. The TV adaptation stars Sadie Soverall as Persephone ‘Percy’ Fraser and Matt Cornett as Sam Florek. Percy’s life changed when her parents bought a house by the lake in Barry’s Bay and she met the Florek brothers, raised by single mom Sue (Elisha Cuthbert). Charlie (Michael Bradway) is Sam’s older brother

‘Meet Me At The Lake’ – Netflix
Meet Me At the Lake is the only one of Fortune’s books so far to be in development for a film adaptation. Deadline reported that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Harry and Meghan Markle, bought the rights for the romance novel back in 2023
Fortune’s second novel follows Fern Brookbanks, who has been passed down her mother’s Muskoka lakeside resort to run. She isn’t happy doing that, but on top of this, an old flame, Will Baxter, shows up there nine years after they agreed to meet up and he ghosted her there. They spent a day together in Toronto and sparks flew
