Aubrey Plaza and boyfriend Christopher Abbott are officially parents!
According to TMZ, Plaza was seen with their newborn on Sunday, Aug. 9. She was spotted at Abbott’s final Broadway performance in “Death of a Salesman” in New York City
News broke in April that the “Parks and Recreation” alum was expecting a baby with Abbott due in the fall

This new addition to Plaza’s family comes over a year after Plaza’s husband, filmmaker Jeff Baena, died by suicide
Baena, 47, died by suicide in January 2025. He began dating “The White Lotus” alum in 2011 and married her in 2021. The pair had collaborated on projects like “Life After Beth“ and ”The Little Hours” together. In September 2024, four months before Baena passed, Plaza and Baena had quietly separated. At the time of his death, however, they were still legally married

While new parents Plaza and Abbott, 40, have never publicly confirmed their romantic relationship, they have a long working history together. They both appeared in the 2020 film “Black Bear” as well as the off-Broadway revival of “Danny and the Deep Blue Sea” in 2023
Celebrity gossip account DeuxMoi first pegged them a couple in July 2025 when they were spotted together in Upstate New York at Chatham Berry Farm. An eyewitness sent in a tip that alleged that the famously deadpan actress “was rubbing his back, and they were sitting very close to each other at a picnic table,” noting that it seemed like they were “more than friends.”
