Calif. (VVNG.com) — A Los Angeles man accused of robbing a Victorville business at gunpoint and using pepper spray on victims was arrested Thursday along with a woman identified by investigators as an alleged accessory, authorities said
The robbery was reported at approximately 3:49 p.m. Tuesday, August 4, 2026, at a business in the 14000 block of La Paz Drive
According to a written statement from the Victorville Police Department, an unknown suspect entered the business, brandished a handgun and demanded that employees and customers surrender their wallets and cellular phones
Authorities said the suspect also deployed pepper spray at victims inside the business before fleeing on foot to a waiting getaway vehicle
During the investigation, detectives reviewed surveillance footage from the area and identified a vehicle they believed was used during the robbery
Investigators subsequently identified the suspected robber as Brandon Craig Brown, 42, of Los Angeles. Detectives also identified Latoya Smith, 43, of Victorville, as an alleged accessory, according to the department
