Disney+ has handed a pilot order toSpaceship Earth, inspired by the Disney World EPCOT attraction of the same name, from Jason Fuchs(IT: Welcome To Derry), Michael Waldron (Loki) and 20th Television
Co- in Spaceship Earth, when a mission to avert an imminent global cataclysm goes awry, a small band of teenagers from Earth’s past and future must join forces to confront a threat as vast and mysterious as time itself
Fuchs serves as executive producer and showrunner, with Waldron also executive producingale, Shadow & Bone) directs and executive produces the pilot along with Adam Fishbachis the studio
The Spaceship Earth attraction is housed in the geodesic sphere at Walt Disney World in Bay Lake, Florida, which has served as the symbolic structure of EPCOT since the park opened in 1982. The 15-minute ride takes guests on a time machine-themed experience, demonstrating how advancements in human communication have helped to create the future one step at a time
