Ohio — Two proposed childcare centers, a wellness program for teenage girls, a new salon and a residential property adjustment will be up for public discussion next month as the Maple Heights Planning and Zoning Commission holds a public hearing
The commission will meet at 6:30 p.m. Aug. 10 in council chambers at 5353 Lee Road to consider five applications for new businesses and a residential lot split
Among the proposals is a licensed early care and education center at 5117 Lee Road that would serve infants through school-age children. According to the application, the center aims to help prepare children for school while providing childcare for working families, expanding access to early education and creating local jobs
Commission members will also consider a second childcare center at 5160 Warrensville Center Road. The proposed business would care for children ages 6 months through 12 years and operate from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday
Another proposal would bring a curriculum-based behavioral health and holistic wellness program for girls in grades 9-11 to 5237 Warrensville Center Road. The program would offer small-group sessions, wellness activities, yoga, meditation and case management
Also on the agenda is a request to open a salon at 5152 Warrensville Center Road
The final application asks the commission to approve a lot split and property consolidation involving parcels on Anthony Street and McCracken Road, creating two newly configured residential lots
Residents are welcome to attend the hearing and will have an opportunity to comment during the public hearing portion of the meeting
