In honor of America’s 250thanniversary, the State Department announced commemorative “Patriot Passports” that will showcase custom artwork throughout.

Here’s what to know about getting a “Patriot Passport”:
Option 1: In-person appointment at the Washington Passport Agency in D.C
- Dial 1-877-487-2778 and select option 9 to check appointment availability at the Washington Passport Agency. Appointments cannot be made online.
- Once your appointment is booked, you will receive an appointment confirmation email.
- If you do not have imminent international travel, your passport will be mailed to you.
Option 2: In-person appointment at a 250th Anniversary commemorative passport application event at a passport agency or center near you
- Dial 1-877-487-2778 and select menu option 9 to check appointment availability and schedule an appointment. Appointments cannot be made online.
- Once your appointment is booked, you will receive an appointment confirmation email.
- Regular fees and processing times will generally apply, and your commemorative passport will be mailed to you.
