What should passengers do if they have a flight cancellation or delay?
If your flight is delayed or canceled, there are steps you can take to ensure you get to your destination as quickly and safely as possible
Check your flight status regularly through your airline’s website or app
If you have your airline’s app, enable notifications for gate changes, delays and cancellations
If your flight happens to be canceled, rebook as soon as possible
If you have a connecting flight, allow extra time if you’re connecting through a busy airport
Keep important items in your carry-on so you can access them, and review your airline’s refund and rebooking policies if you have an overnight delay or a cancellation
