The San Antonio Spurs had some intriguing veterans on their roster a season ago, which could have been part of the reason why they made the NBA Finals

I know everybody looks at the young, talented Spurs they have from top to bottom and suggests that they’re the reason they made it as far as they did, and I don’t necessarily agree with that, but having grown-ups in the building is a really important part of young teams finding success
Even if some of these guys didn’t play a whole lot, they can make a major impact off the court
One player in particular who I think doesn’t get enough credit for that is Kelly Olynyk
Olynyk, a longtime veteran who has proven he can be a big piece to young and contending teams, or aging and contending teams, is a free agent at the moment. While there’s no expectation that he will return to San Antonio, the latest report suggests he could still find a good spot, with the Golden State Warriors showing interest

“Fischer identifies veteran frontcourt free agents Kelly Olynyk and Georges Niang as possible <a href="https://todaytrendnews7.com/zenix-aerospace-targets-growth-under-one-zenix-strategy/” title=”Zenix Aerospace targets growth under One Zenix strategy”>targets for the Warriors, especially if they’re able to land LeBron. The team is in the market for a stretch four or five after losing Quinten Post to Memphis, and Olynyk and Niang could likely be had for the veteran’s minimum, Fischer explains, stating that both players are “very much in the cards” for Golden State,” HoopsRumors wrote
Olynyk fits the mold for what the Warriors are looking to do
This is a team that wants to get up shots at the three-point line at a very high rate, and he’d help them do just that. Not that he’d play a lot, just like he didn’t in San Antonio, but for a guy who can come in for 15-20 minutes a night in the regular season, there are far worse options out there
