Texas (KOSA) – With the first day of school just weeks away, health experts say now is the time for families to make sure children are healthy and ready for the classroom
As families prepare for a new school year, pharmacists say back to school health checks are just as important as buying school supplies
They recommend making sure children are up to date on required vaccinations and reviewing any necessary medications
Pharmacists say this routine wellness checks can help identify potential health concerns early ensuring a healthy start to the school year
Marcus Kothari, Pharmacy Manager at the Walmart Midland Store 608, said “We want to start the year healthy and fresh, so, we want to get those covered in the beginning. Sometimes if you come late, it may cause the gap in the school as well. So, early and fresh.”
