Belvidere hosts annual Farmers Market and Wellness Fair

The annual Farmers Market and Wellness Fair is set to return to Sundstrand Park, offering fresh produce and health re
The event will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. July 21 at the park, 2100 Newburg Road
The Boone County Health Department is organizing the fair in partnership with the City of Belvidere, RAMP and the Belvidere Family YMCA, according to a community announcement
Local farmers will be selling a variety of fruits and vegetables. Over 50 community organizations and businesses will have booths, activities for children and giveaways, including exercise and fitness tips
Fire Department to offer car seat safety checks
The Belvidere Fire Department will be on hand to provide free car seat safety checks, and the Belvidere Park District will bring its Park & Play mobile unit. Food trucks and cottage permit food vendors will offer food for purchase
From 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., free box lunches will be available for children ages 18 and under, provided by the Northern Illinois Food Bank and YMCA while supplies last
Free drawings will begin at 12:30 p.m., with prizes including gift cards and passes for local attractions. Attendees can participate in one of several drawings and do not need to be present to win
