SEATTLE —Washington State Ferries (WSF) is warning travelers to expect delays on several routes this weekend as traffic increases for the 30th annual Sequim Lavender Festival
As of 10:18 a.m. Friday, drivers departing the Edmonds terminal faced an estimated two-hour wait
The Edmonds/Kingston and Seattle/Bainbridge routes are expected to be busier throughout the weekend as festivalgoers travel to Sequim, the agency said. Drivers using the Edmonds/Kingston route should plan for delays
From 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., motorists traveling on the Edmonds/Kingston route are required to obtain aboarding pass to secure their vehicle’s place in line
The boarding pass kiosk is located about a half-mile west of the terminal on State Route 104
Ferry tickets must still be purchased separately

Festival hours are 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday. The event promotes Sequim as the “Lavender Capital of North America.”
