Kirby Dach won’t be headed to salary arbitration after all
The Montreal Canadiens announced Thursday that the forward has signed a one-year contract worth $3.6 million
Dach was scheduled to have a salary arbitration hearing on July 30, per PuckPedia
The 25-year-old recorded eight goals and seven assists in 37 regular-season games during the 2025-26 season, then added four goals and one assist in 19 playoff games
Selected by the Chicago Blackhawks as the third-overall pick in the 2019 NHL Draft, Dach spent three seasons there before being traded to Montreal in July 2022 for a first- and third-round pick
Over his NHL career, which has been injury-plagued, the Fort Saskatchewan, Alta., native has 136 points (51 goals and 86 assists) in 306 regular-season games
Dach’s last deal was for four years and carried an average annual value of $3,362,500
