CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. —If you’ve ever wanted to try Chattanooga’s food truck scene all in one place, this weekend is your chance
The Chattanooga World Food Truck Festival returns Saturday to Tennessee Riverpark, bringing dozens of food trucks, live music and family-friendly activities to the Chattanooga riverfront
Organizer Cameron Parker says the festival is about more than just great food
It’s also about helping local food truck owners reach new customers

“A lot of times they don’t have the marketing budget to be out there in the media for people to know they’re there,” Parker said. “I love being able to post it to such a large audience, and then they go and try it and love it.”
Parker says the festival was designed to encourage visitors to sample more than one truck
People can download the free Dad Bod Go app and use its “passport” feature to scan QR codes after making purchases
Each stop earns an entry into a drawing for a free smoker, while also creating a gallery of dishes other festivalgoers have tried
Beyond the food, the festival will feature live music throughout the day, a large kids area, cooking demonstrations and dozens of merchandise vendors
Parker says Chattanooga’s food scene is one of the city’s best-kept secrets
“When I moved to Chattanooga two years ago, I had no idea that it was the food town that it is,” he said. “I think a lot of people who live here don’t even know.”
Admission is free
Organizers encourage people to reserve tickets online to help food truck operators estimate how much food to prepare, though reservations are not required
The festival will be held Saturday at Tennessee Riverpark off Amnicola Highway
